Warehouse routing for a multi-store retailer

A custom Laravel platform that syncs with Revel POS to route orders, recommend transfers and balance inventory across stores.

The challenge

Uniforms by Logo Express supplies school apparel to charter networks, private schools and families across Louisiana. Orders come in through Revel POS at several stores, but stock is spread across those stores and a central warehouse. Staff had to work out by hand which location should fill each order and when stock should move between stores.

What we built

A warehouse and order-management platform, built in Laravel, that sits alongside Revel POS:

  • Automatic sync with Revel. Orders and inventory come in through the Revel API, so the platform always works from current numbers.
  • Order routing. Rules decide which location fills each order, based on what is in stock and where.
  • Transfer recommendations. The system suggests stock transfers before a store runs short.
  • Inventory cross-leveling. Stock is rebalanced across stores so it sits where it sells.

Why it matters

Routing and restocking decisions that used to take someone’s time and judgment now follow a consistent set of rules, and staff can see the reasoning. The retailer can add stores without adding the same amount of coordination work.
