Instant fence quotes drawn on a satellite map

The challenge

For a fence contractor, every quote used to start with a site visit or a long back-and-forth about measurements. That is slow for the customer and expensive for the contractor, especially for the many leads that never turn into a job.

What we built

MapFence Estimator is a WordPress plugin that drops a full quoting tool into a contractor’s website:

• Find your property. Customers search their address and land on high-resolution satellite imagery of their lot.
• Draw the fence. Drawing tools let them trace fence lines and place gates directly on the map. The plugin measures the total footage as they go.
• Choose the fence. Customers pick a height, a type (privacy, decorative, security or pool) and a material (wood, vinyl, chain link or aluminum). Each material has its own price per foot.
• See the price. The quote updates in real time from the footage, gates and options chosen, including extras like ground type.

Why it matters

Customers get a realistic price in minutes, without waiting for a site visit. The contractor gets leads who have already seen a number and a layout, so their time goes to the jobs most likely to close. And because it’s a plugin, it drops into an existing WordPress site without a rebuild.
