What we collect through this website, why, and the choices you have. Last updated September 30, 2026.
This policy covers the BearSoft website at bearsoft.org and bearsoftcorp.com. BearSoft LLC ("BearSoft", "we", "us") is a software company headquartered in New Orleans, Louisiana. We keep what we collect to a minimum, and we don't sell or rent your personal information.

Information you give us
When you send us an inquiry through our contact form, we receive:
- your name and email address
- your company or organization, if you include it
- the services you're interested in, your estimated budget and timeline, if you choose them
- anything you write in your message
If you email us directly, we receive whatever you include in your email. We use this information to reply to you, discuss your project and keep a record of our conversations.
Information collected automatically
Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how people use the site: which pages they visit, how they found us, roughly where they are (city or country), what kind of device and browser they use, and how long they stay. This helps us improve the site. Google Analytics uses cookies to tell visits apart. It loads only after you scroll, tap, click or press a key, or after a few seconds on a page.
Hosting. Our hosting provider, Netlify, processes technical information such as your IP address and browser type in order to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
We don't use advertising cookies or tracking pixels, and the site sets no cookies of its own. Our fonts are served from our own site, so loading a page doesn't send your information to a font provider.
Who we share it with
We share information only with the service providers that help us run the site and the business:
- Netlify hosts the website and receives contact form submissions.
- Google provides Google Analytics.
- Our email provider handles messages sent to our company email address.
These providers process information on our behalf, under their own privacy and security terms. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep inquiries and related emails for as long as we need them to respond, work with you and keep reasonable business records. Analytics data is kept according to our Google Analytics data-retention settings and then deleted by Google.
Your choices
- Cookies: you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site works normally without them.
- Analytics: Google offers a browser add-on to opt out of Google Analytics on all websites.
- Your inquiry: to see, correct or delete the information you've sent us, email sales@bearsoftcorp.com and we'll take care of it.
Security
The site is served over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, and we limit access to inquiries to the people who need them. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you share with us.
Children
This site is meant for businesses and isn't directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect information from them.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle information, we'll update this page and the date at the top. Information is processed and stored in the United States.
